Touristinformations - Interactive Installations

Touristinformation Gaienhofen (2021)
The installation builds the centerpiece of the newly designed tourist information, where solid topology meets a world of digital information. Unexpected discoveries are combined with a quick search for information on any type of accommodation or sport that guests from all over the world might be interested in. The mix of projection mapping and touch-screen technology enables quick access to the multifaceted experiences in and around Gaienhofen. Visitors can download all the essential information onto their smartphone by scanning a QR code. In addition, our content management system enables on-site staff to manage all content with ease. As a result, the content is adjusted to changing seasons, unexpected events and further factors.
Easy Access
Users dont need to bring their own device or enter a website to find the information they need. In Gaienhofen they could just go to the touchscreen and scroll through the hiking routes.
Information in Space
After selecting the route, users immediatly see the path projected in threedimensional space. Visitors can see how long the route is and how steep it will be.
Task
Developed a projection mapping installation paired with a CMS designed for seamless 24/7 operation.

Touristinfo Ravensburg (2015)
It all started with the tourist information in Ravensburg. For Herbert Moser from artXMedia I created two applications for the Stadt Ravensburg. The front doors have dynamically filled projections (based on a content management system). The projections fit exactly to the shape of the doors. So far the projections are still running, every day after sunset.
